21 May 2026. Masaka, Uganda: MTN Mobile Money (U) Limited (MTN MoMo) has today launched Term 2 of its ongoing “Win School Fees for a Year and More” campaign during an activation event held in Nyendo, Masaka, continuing its commitment to supporting families and schools through convenient digital payment solutions.

The campaign, now in its third consecutive year, has continued to build momentum across the country by rewarding parents and guardians who pay school fees using MTN MoMo, while also recognizing schools that embrace digital school fees collections.

The first phase of the 2026 campaign saw several parents and guardians win school fees for a full year for their children, while Lucky Kids Academy received a school van through the campaign, further strengthening public confidence in the initiative and reinforcing MTN MoMo’s support towards education communities across Uganda.

During the Term 2 launch in Masaka, several parents and guardians were also rewarded with school fees for their children after paying through MTN MoMo.

Speaking during the launch, Viola Namuyaba, Senior Manager, Payments & E-Commerce at MTN MoMo, said the campaign continues to address everyday financial realities faced by parents and schools while encouraging more Ugandans to embrace digital payments.

“Parents and guardians are constantly balancing many responsibilities at the beginning of every school term. MTN MoMo is making that process easier by giving customers a safe, fast, and reliable way to pay school fees directly from wherever they are using the MoMo App or by dialing 16580#. Through this campaign, families also stand a chance to win school fees for a full year, while schools accepting MoMo payments stand a chance to win a school van,” Namuyaba said.

She added that MTN MoMo has also introduced a back-to-school shopping promotion to help families manage school expenses more affordably during the term.

“Customers can now enjoy up to 20% off their back-to-school shopping when they pay using the MoMo App or dial *165*3# at selected partner supermarkets across the country, including Capital Shoppers, Fraine Supermarket, Quality Supermarket, and Shop Wise. This is part of our broader commitment under The Power of MoMo campaign to provide practical financial solutions that support everyday life,” she added.

Parents and guardians can pay school fees conveniently through the MTN MoMo App or by dialing *165*80#. Customers can also access school fees loans through MTN MoMo to help manage education expenses for up to four children during the school term.

Schools and bursars are encouraged to register and accept MTN MoMo school fees payments to benefit from safer cashless collections, easier reconciliation, and an opportunity to win a school van through the ongoing campaign.

As the campaign enters this phase, MTN MoMo continues to reinforce its role as a trusted partner in education by helping families keep children in school while supporting schools with efficient and secure payment solutions.
